Product Description
Uncommon good!
Porcelain Lusterware - Boy and Girl in Boat, 1930s Goebel Hummel Figurine, Bavaria, Germany.
Maker’s mark stamped on underside: R.T. 830 - Bavaria - Dep
The porcelain figurine may have been submerged in the Alaskan ocean waters since 1952-3, or earlier and dated to around the mid to late 1930s in manufacturing. Having been an ocean recovery it’s also quite possible to have come directly from Europe after being made and was lost during this oceanic shipping.
It was recovered in shallow (60 feet) water and recorded. Additional information added in time.
