Pair of Hand Carved Wooden Elephant Bookends

A very nice solid and well defined Pair of Indian Elephant Bookends, carved from rosewood or similar. They are with age and have held up splendidly over time. Elephants face inward towards the books, as if to be pushing against them.

Bookends are stout but should be handled as if of an antiquity age. The labels though not intact still remain on the underneath of their bases, circa 1960s-'70s.
