2 Boys & Girl Ceramic Musicians Figurines, w/ Accordion, Guitar & Bass
Product Description
Nicely grouped and having been together since the early 1950s are these classic styled 3 Musician Figurines. A Boy wearing his Hat with bag carried under his right arm plays the Accordion. This while the other Boy plays the Guitar, and given the power to deliver the music’s final beat by the 3rd in the group, a Girl playing the large Upright Bass.
Their hit music titled ‘The Three Musicians’ has carried them for quite some time since the mid-century. Smiles at the foolish notion though untrue just so maybe not...
The 3 are all similar in style and color, likely having all been made by the same artist. Of the 3, 2 are initialed on their bottom bases, boy with Guitar and Girl playing the Upright Bass: 'MW' & Dated 1952. Unknown if the other child playing the Accordion has been signed, since its base as all 3 are painted.
Once long back this style of Figurines were abundant and from an age when many enjoyed their ownership. But over the course of several decades it seems most have broken or been forgotten and left to times wrath. So it is becoming more uncommon to find 3 this size, in as good of a condition as these are.
